About Us

We all dream of that quintessential English country inn - the one which offers something extra special. Whether it is the warmth of the welcome, the character & charm of the building, the decadence of a fantastic menu (with the regions finest cooking) or the classic inn-keeping skills of delivering fantastic local craft ales alongside an exceptional wine list. These attributes, tied in with a philosophy of welcoming everyone including children, dogs and muddy boots, are why we firmly believe that we have created a fantastic year-round inn, offering a wonderfully caring, relaxing & unique place to be.

Our Menu

The food of a great inn must offer a good choice of dishes, from the simple and hearty to the rich and refined, but above all it must be flavorsome, gutsy and tasty.

We offer a full repertoire from our daily-changing menu including our own smoked delicacies, fantastic starters and stunning sharing boards, as well as our pub classics and big hearty roasts, (not forgetting some really decadent puddings).

Food is Served 12pm - 9:30pm Every day

Located on the magical sounding Penny Lane, The Cricket Inn is just moments away from the lovely Sheffield villages of Dore and Totley, while also incredibly close to the Peak District National park. Our lovely inn sits nestled on an amazing country lane next to some lovely rolling hills, with the cricket pitch providing probably the worlds greatest beer garden.
